They are hundreds of years apart and had different life styles but we compare them because in the grand scope of civilizations they are relativity close to each other. Mesopotamia is one of the most known early civilizations there is, they were more advanced than most. We learned about the different gods and who worshiped them. There and millions of gods that people believe in and millions to come. We learned about king Hammurabi and his code. The king was very brutal, and had very strict rules and harsh punishment to make sure his rules where fallowed. After the king it was decided that each city would be its own state so there was not one man to rule and tell them all what to do. This didn’t last very long as can be imagined. It was decided that there had to be laws for all still but they can have more than the basic ones. The Indus valley was a huge area on the Indus river where a huge sentiment was made, they were soon very advanced and had lots of advanced technology. The Indus valley settlement thrived and did well for many of years. They had a weighting system, a watering system for plants, and they built their homes from stone. The Indus people worked with stone more than most civilizations.
